Lintong properly describes only coffees grown in a relatively small region just southwest of Lake Toba in the kecamatan or district of Lintongnihuta. Small plots of coffee are scattered over a high, undulating plateau of fern-covered clay. The coffee is grown without shade, but also without chemicals of any kind, and almost entirely by small holders. The slightly over medium roasted brings out more the most traditional and original tastes of Mandheling: woody, herbal and strong cocoa, chocolate and caramel. This coffee is a perfect choice for those who look for of full-bodied cup of the very traditional and original Indonesian tastes.
This coffee can be brewed via espresso machine, pourover filter, siphon, French press or moka pot.
