PHILOCOFFEA is a coffee company jointly established by Tetsu Kasuya, the world champion who won the first WORLD BREWERS CUP in Asia, and Masami Kaji, the founder of the Funabashi Coffee Town Plan.
PHILOCOFFEA is a coined word of PHILOSOPHY + COFFEA. Why COFFEA instead of COFFEE? It contains our philosophy of thinking about what ideally the coffee industry should be, and working toward that goal so that coffee trees can take root and bloom little by little.
Kasuya creates roasting profiles and controls quality from the selection and purchase of raw beans by visiting the farms himself. PHILOCOFFEA coffee is available in a variety of roasting degrees, from light roasting to deep roasting, all of which share the same philosophy of "clean and pleasant aftertaste."
