Panama Geisha is crowned as the "Queen of Coffee",  and ranks the highest quality and most expensive coffee in the world. In 2019, Elida Geisha coffee was sold for $1,029 per pound, which broke its own record of $803 per pound in 2018. The record of 2018 broke the earlier record set by the Hacienda La Esmeralda of $601 per pound for its La Esmeralda Geisha coffee.

Grown in the Chiriquí highlands, in the adjoining region of Volcan Baru, the Panama Geisha coffee is cultivated from the finest variety of Arabica beans known as Geisha. Geisha coffee cherries are not harvested until they ripe perfectly, and each cherry is hand-picked.

This Geisha coffee is grown and natural-processed by the famous La Esmeralda estate. Cherries are spread and dried under the sun for an optimal period. The Geisha coffee demonstrate Jasmine floral scent, and hints of wine, honey, citron, tangerine, chocolate, caramel and vallila.

This superior coffee is best and should be only brewed via pourover filter to retain its layers of fine tastes.
